Xiaomi watch; In this review, we will discuss another Xiaomi speaker with a voice assistant Google Assistant, or as the manufacturer refers to it - a smartwatch.
This is the fifth Xiaomi device with similar functionality, I mean the voice assistant that came to my review, including a Chinese copy of today's review hero, but only the second with Google Home support.
There is only support for Xiao Ai, the Chinese assistant. I'd like to clarify that the purpose of this review is to inform you about the functionality of this specific device.

What is the cost of the Xiaomi Mi Watch?
The Xiaomi Mi Watch has a 1.39-inch screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels and costs around 120 dollars. Xiaomi's Xiaomi Mi Watch uses the Proprietary OS. Xiaomi comes in a beautiful and bright box with a photo and the name of the device on the front and the Xiaomi logo on the back.
On each side of the box, the manufacturer's logo and the voice assistant Google Assistant are repeated. So there is no doubt that this is a global version, especially since there isn't a single hieroglyphic inscription.
Everything is in English - and I'd like to emphasize this right away - including a voice assistant.
Everything is packed tightly, and nothing flies around the box, despite the fact that its walls are made of fairly thin cardboard, and the outer packaging perfectly protected the entire contents.

Everything found inside is the hero of the review; for the sake of brevity, I'll refer to it as a column, a power supply, and a rather thick booklet with instructions.
The instructions are written in six languages, with English being the most understandable to me. But, to be honest, I haven't learned anything new about myself as a result of it.
The power supply included is quite powerful, rated at 10 Watts. There are no adapters needed because the plug is European. The power cord is not detachable.
The device's front, which houses a screen with a diagonal of nearly 4 inches, is angled. There are two holes on the top, along the edges, for a pair of microphones.
There are three buttons: volume control on the sides and mute in the center. There is a power connector on the back - this is micro USB, of course, in 2021 you can expect to see more USB C, but keep in mind that this is a global version of the column, which was released about three years ago.
There is perforation along the lower part's perimeter; it is required for the speaker, which is located exactly there. However, both columns are adjacent.
Only the ear protruding from the top right from the protective film on the screen, which I forgot to remove during testing, distinguishes the review's hero. The only way to tell them apart without including them is to look at the sticker on the bottom of the case.

I will immediately respond to a question that will undoubtedly mature - the methods of flashing the Chinese version to the global version are unknown to me, but if such information emerges, I will investigate it immediately.
Before connecting Xiaomi Mi Smartwatch, I'll show you how the entire power connector is made - at an angle. This is far more practical than the standard one, which would protrude a few centimeters from the body.
After powering on and loading, a message appears on the screen informing you that you must install Google Home.
The name broadcast by the device is shown at the bottom right. The message about the appearance of a new Google-compatible device will appear in the notification shade, or you can connect it manually, as I did, by going to the device settings menu and selecting the new device menu in Google Home.
We select an existing house or create a new one, then a device search is performed, and the column is found under the same name that we saw on its screen.
We chose the language, and because Russian, as I previously stated, was not available at the time of the review, I chose English - the version for the United States. The device's screen then displays a request for the code.
The code is present, and it corresponds to what I saw on the screen, so everything is in order.
We answer the question about sending reports to Google, which I personally do not see as a problem, and then we choose the room where the device will be located and proceed to the selection of wi-fi.

For me, the lack of support for the 5 GHz band is a significant disadvantage. Then you can select whether the password should be transmitted automatically or manually. The device connects to the network, and the app displays Google Assistant information.
Then there's the issue of providing personalized results, and finally, the voice assistant is turned on. Following that, you must choose a music service. I have a premium YouTube subscription, which I use - by the way, it's very convenient, especially a family one with five accounts.
There is also a call function for the speakers, although I personally have never used it, the same telegrams are more convenient for me. The column firmware update begins when the connection is terminated. It took me about ten minutes to complete.
Finally, the column was visible in Google Home. The update information has been duplicated, and the download is currently in progress on the column screen.
Then comes the installation, which is quite amusing - 90% of the time it is at the 20% mark, then it is quickly completed, and one more notification about the collection of information about the device's operation, this time from Xiaomi.
The newly connected speaker's default theme is amusing. The time is correct, not Chinese as it appears in the celestial version. When you press and hold your finger on the screen, a menu of themes, including the one with the weather display, appears.
By the way, by default, weather degrees are displayed in Fahrenheit, but it's enough to say OK, you know who, change degrees to celsius - and the column changes them.
Actually, any changes - do not hesitate to ask by voice - will be made if possible by the assistant. Swiping from top to bottom brings up a menu of quick launch shortcuts, which are located at the top.

The second line toggles the lighting in the room where you defined the column. Let's go over the shortcuts one by one. Alarms - the configuration is simple - we choose hours and minutes, then repeats and a call. Voice control is also available.
The time after which it will work is shown below; a little further down, I will demonstrate how it works in real time. Nap timer - set for 20 minutes - nap is translated as a nap, implying that this is a rest period.
However, my association is with the tomato method. The bottom line is to divide tasks into tomato-sized chunks to which you should devote a specific amount of time - only 20 minutes, followed by a 5-minute rest period.
Following that is the launch of a music service - in my case, Youtube - which begins playback based on your preferences. It, like all other features, can be accessed via voice command.

The alarm is going off. The volume continues to rise - the further you go, the louder it becomes. The light control panel in the given room is called up on the screen. Not just in the one where the column is. You can also use your voice to turn on, off, or set the percentage brightness.
You can display cameras that are compatible with Google Home on the screen. This is the Reolink E1 pro in my case. There is a ten-second delay between the image and what is happening online.
Because this is my second column in Google Home, I can now output sound to both at the same time. Furthermore, in this mode, the volume is adjusted individually for each of them. Additionally, in the setup menu, the option to create a speaker group can be selected.

We indicate which columns to combine into a group, give it a name, and the group is displayed as a separate column when sound is output.
For identical speakers, I believe that such a combination is more logical - to synchronize the volume. Such devices appear automatically in the Google Cast integration in Home Assistant - I already had it installed, so the new device itself appeared in it.
The name is identical to that of Google Home. The device is a media player; the status shows what is currently playing, and there is a player control panel.
Its name can be found in the properties and is useful for use in scripts and automations. You can also output sound to the speaker from the Multimedia Browser's standard section.
I use the Reverso tts integration from the HACS Integrations collection for voice messages. You must activate the integration in configuration after installing it. yaml in the tts section, and after restarting the instance, use the service that appears to send text messages to it.
