P36 smartwatch; It is true that smartwatches can be very expensive if you go with the more popular brands like Apple, Garmin, Samsung or Fine.
But the value can also be found, if you know where to look. I found the new budget p36 smart watch, which offers real quality without the price tag.
Today we are going to test and review the new budget smartwatch P36, which is basically an upgraded version of another very affordable smartwatch called P22, which is one of the best budget sellers on Amazon these days.
P36 smartwatch features
- The P36 features a sporty design, zinc alloy body and glossy finish. It has a light PC-ABS material on the bottom cover.
- Here we have the PPG sensors and here are the magnetic charging pins.
- It has one physical button on the side, which toggles the display, returns to the previous menu - and turns the clock on and off.
In general, it looks neat with rounded corners, it is a little bulky in my opinion, but it looks excellent. The screen produces a sharp, bright and vibrant picture - and it has 6 degrees of brightness.
The screen would certainly benefit if the manufacturer upgraded it with an anti-fingerprint nano-coating, however it is protected by tempered glass.
The p36 smart watch has a removable silicone strap with a stainless steel buckle.ou can replace the straps with any strap of your choice as long as the standard strap is 20mm.
It looks good and has an IP67 waterproof rating, so you don't have to worry about it getting wet while washing your hands or showering. We did a simple water resistance test, as many of you are asking in the comments.
Is the p36 smart watch really waterproof?
Well, let's check it out. To summarize: IP67 means the unit can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour.
So you can't snorkel with your p36, but you can paddleboard, kayak, run in the pouring rain, and shower with complete confidence that the water won't damage your watch. It is clearly dust-resistant.

Once you open the app, the pairing will be done automatically, once you confirm the p36 in Device Selection. At this point, the time is automatically synchronized with your phone.

Here in the app, you'll get some great graphs of your activities, set alerts, set your goals, notifications, etc. and give you control over everything the P36 has to offer.
It has a nice overall design and the elements are arranged in a logical way: you're not looking for a misclassified function.
The p36 smart watch has essential features for health monitoring; The first tool on the list just by swiping up is the pedometer (or step counter if you like), which also calculates calories burned and distance traveled.
The next tool is the sleep tracker, which measures your sleep duration, percentage of deep sleep and duration of wakefulness.
By the way, this is one of the few budget watches that can track your sleep very well and it doesn't matter if you sleep at night or during the day after your night shift. I've checked the p36 smart watch in all situations and it actually does a pretty good job! Love her.
Let's move on to the next tool, which is the heart rate monitor. We compared heart rate readings from the p36 smart watch with a medical-grade pulse oximeter, which has high accuracy in measurements of heart rate as well as the level of oxygen saturation in the blood.
The performance of the P36 is very good, and the heart rate is very accurate. However, I have found when doing the exercises, that the heart rate measurements start to fluctuate a bit and the P36 loses its accuracy. Well, in the end this is not a medical device, so the readings are mainly for reference only.
Let's move on to the next piece, which is "training"; You can easily track these 8 sports modes to monitor your workouts and exercises accordingly which are:
walking, running, cycling, jumping, badminton, basketball, football and swimming. Unfortunately, the p36 smart watch doesn't have GPS, but you can track your location during a workout via the app that uses your phone's GPS.
The next tool is a blood pressure monitor. The measurement takes about 30 seconds, then the results are displayed on the screen. Blood pressure readings contain two readings.
The first number, called systolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
The second number, called diastolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart relaxes between beats.
Below is the SpO2 trace, also known as oxygen saturation, which is a measure of the amount of oxygen carrying hemoglobin in the blood - relative to the amount of hemoglobin that does not carry oxygen.

Next widget: the weather. It pushes weather information from your phone, to use this function the watch must be connected to your phone.
Your phone needs internet access, of course the 'breathe' tool on the P36 encourages you to take a few minutes a day to relax and focus on your breathing.
Simply open the Breathe tool, tap Start, inhale slowly as the animation grows, then exhale as it contracts. p36 smart watch is equipped with push notifications features;
All incoming text messages and social app messages, as well as notifications about incoming calls are supported.
You can't answer the incoming call you can just drop it. To see incoming messages, just swipe left from the home screen. It will only work when your watch is connected to your smartphone via bluetooth.
If you swipe to the right from the main screen, here you will get some additional features, such as the function of launching the camera.
Pressing the red button on the watch screen will launch the photo mode on your phone. I don't use it personally, but it can definitely come in handy in some situations.
Control music player via bluetooth - pause or switch to the next song on your mobile phone; With this feature you can control the volume. It also shows you the track name on the screen.
Another useful feature: the timer can be found here in the watch menu. "Do Not Disturb Mode" - The "Full reset" and "Power off" buttons are at the bottom of the watch list.
P36 SMART WATCH has a certain degree of customization, you can choose and download a range of watch faces available through the companion app.
You can also create your own custom watch face using any photo or image from your smartphone as wallpaper, scaling, cropping.
If you create your own watch face or download the watch face from the app selection, you can only store one watch face in the smart watch at that time.
To quickly change the watch face, simply press and hold it for about 3 seconds, then choose from the 4 factory watch faces and your own custom one.
P36 smartwatch apps
The app has two features which I absolutely love; Which are an activity reminder, when I've spent so much time sitting next to a desk, and a drinking reminder that I usually forget to hydrate myself throughout the day, I can't live without these two simple reminders.
The P36 smartwatch houses a 200mAh lithium-polymer battery, which, the manufacturer says, allows you to use the watch for 5-7 days between charges, assuming you'll be using the watch heavily every day.
If you are going to use the watch without a constant connection with your smartphone - that's what I do, the battery will last up to 30 days, but that obviously depends only on how much you use the screen. A full charge takes about 1.5 hours.

Now I'll show you how to replace the straps: pull this little pin here - then you pull the strap away from the watch, and to put it back or replace it with the new strap, just reverse the steps of pulling the pin. Clicked and you are good to go. Very simple and straight forward.
