In this article, we will compare the Mi Watch to the Mi Watch Light to determine which one is a better fit for you and which one you should purchase.
Let's get going. We're not only comparing the Mi Watch to the Mi Watch Light, but we're also answering your questions about what these watches can and cannot do.
What is the difference between Mi Watch and Mi Watch Lite?
Let's start with the differences in overall design between the me watch and the mi watch light. The mi watch has a circular traditional design, whereas my loving watch light is more like the Apple Watch with its square-ish design. The mi watch has two buttons.
While the mi watch light only has a single button for home, the mi watch has a dedicated button for sports mode, which is great for fitness enthusiasts to quickly access.
Let's look at the straps on both of these watches. They both have interchangeable straps. The straps on mi watch are more flimsy and traditional, as they are with most watches.
While the light has a distinct design, the mini watch weighs only 32 grams, while the mi While the light has a distinct design, the mini watch weighs only 32 grams, whereas the mi watch light weighs 35 grams, which is quite intriguing.
The Mi Watch is optimized for ppg heart rate sensors and includes a blood oxygen sensor, whereas the Mi watch Light only includes a heart rate sensor for heart rate tracking.
Next, let's look at the displays on both of these. The Mi watch has a 1.39-inch amoled display, while the mi watch light has a 1.4-inch tft lcd display. The amoled clearly looks better and is far superior.
You even have an always-on display on the Mi Watch, whereas the light only has a five-minute on/off cycle. So you can't have an always-on display on the light. The navigation is nearly identical for both; the me watch has a few more menus than the main watch light.
Now, scrolling and everything on the Mi Watch feels a lot better than it does on the Mi Watch Light, which has a more static page scroll.
While the Mi watch has a proper traditional scrolling mechanism, it feels a lot more fluid when you're going through different menus and navigating through different settings, and this was one of the main issues.
When we were viewing the mini watch light, it felt a little cheaper and old school in terms of customization and watch faces both of these have over a hundred different watch faces that are easily customizable using the application.
They both use the same application, so it's really all up to you. If you've ever considered using a VPN service, you can always choose between a free one and a paid one.
Right away, many people try to rush for the free one because, well, it's free. However, with that free price point comes a slew of restrictions and some backhanded data compromise issues.
A freeway pin, on the other hand, has more traffic, more connection drops, slower speeds, and transfer limits. A paid vpn, on the other hand, has its own dedicated servers.
This means you'll have a smooth, seamless connection. A free VPN has no legal obligations for your data or logs, whereas a paid VPN, such as Nord, has a no log policy and all of your data is encrypted with military grade encryption.
As previously stated, the free vpn is free, and they have no obligations, so they must make money in some way. Typically, they do this by shoving a bunch of ads in your face, or worse, selling your data to third-party ad companies to target.
While using a paid vpn, you are paying for the service, so they have no reason to do that shady nonsense, so think smarter, stay secure, and use a paid vpn service like Nordvpn.
Now, let's talk about fitness, which is where things can get a little bit more complicated. The Mi watch has one hundred and seventeen workout modes, whereas the Mi watch light has only eleven.
This is a significant difference, and you can do a lot more with the Xiaomi Mi watch than with the mi watch light, so this is a pretty clear option for people who are looking for the fitness aspect of this more than anything else, you're definitely going to want the me watch over the me watch light, even getting your full workout summary or your night sleep summary.
All of this can be done on the watch itself for both, or through the application, where you can get a more detailed review of it that is fairly straightforward across both of them.
You also have five atm of water resistance across both, so you can swim and dive with it whatever you want up to 50 meters and you should be fine. As previously stated, the Mi Watch supports the revolutionary blood oxygen monitoring that you can see on the Apple Watch as well, whereas the Mi Watch Light does not support this at all.
For that reason, and this is the main difference between their sensors, you also get music control on both of these watches, and it works exactly the same way on both. Next, let's take a look at the notification system. Both of these receive notifications in the same way (scroll from the top to get notifications), but you cannot respond to both of these.
The me watch is supposed to get its own emoji support, but for now, the notifications are identical. Moving on to the battery and charging, this is where the Xiaomi Mi watch significantly outperforms the Mi watch light.
You have a 420 milliamp hour battery as opposed to a 230 milliamp hour battery. The charger is magnetic, whereas the charger for the Mi Watch Light is a pogo pin charger. The Mi watch light has a battery life of up to seven days on a single charge, while the mi watch has a battery life of 14 days on a single charge.
I'm not a fan of the watch for charging the Mi Watch light because I prefer Mi watch to be flat, but you can't place it flat on this one because it'll just bounce back up.
Which watch is a better choice Xiaomi Mi Watch or the Mi Watch Light?
If you're looking for a more general aesthetic, the Mi Watch is obviously a better traditional looking smart watch with a longer battery life and more fitness modes. If you're looking for a fitness tracker, the Mi Watch Light is a lot less expensive, but you still get a lot of the same features.
So you won't be missing out on much if you go with the budget alternative with a different design, but if you're more into fitness, I'd recommend the Mi watch over the Mi watching light.
That concludes our comparison of the Mi Watch and the Mi Watch Light. It all comes down to what kind of style preferences you have or what kind of requirements you have for a smart watch.
For me, aesthetically, I prefer the Xiaomi Mi watch over the Mi watch light because the display, being amoled, looks a lot nicer with the colors and everything the vibrance and brightness looks a lot nicer.
Plus it's a circular watch display, which I prefer over a square watch display; however, many people may disagree, and obviously, your budget will play a significant role in determining which one you choose. With that out of the way, let us know if you prefer the me watch or the me watch lite in the comments.
