Vodafone NEO Kids Watch review

kids watch; The Vodafone NEO smartwatch is a one-of-a-kind smartwatch for Kids that features popular Disney characters as well as a GPS tracker and an activity tracker.

You could also use it to make a phone call, but is the high cost worth it? Vodafone and Disney's collaboration has resulted in the creation of a completely new product.

  • In the app, you can create your own circle of up to 9 trusted contacts and customize their permissions.
  • Set parental controls and manage their screen time with the Quiet Mode option - Neo cannot be used to surf the web.

The chunky, colorful design of the Vodafone NEO smartwatch is the nicest we've seen on any kids smartwatch to date. The vodafone v-kids watch is available in two colors: ocean blue and mint.

Though the strap is made of silicone, it is quite thick and does not feel cheap like some other rubber straps. It is comfortable to wear and feels light on the wrist, weighing only 40.6 grams.

The strap is a little fiddly for a kid's device: you have to pull it through the loop and then tighten it to push the clasp through one of the notches, but it's extremely difficult to put the strap through to secure the watch.

The Vodafone NEO Kids Watch face is circular, surrounded by a plastic finish. The screen is bright and clear, it's a high quality 1.3 inch 240 by 240 display that holds up well in direct sunlight and does not easily pick up fingerprints, which is good.

Users of the Vodafone Neo Smart Watch can navigate by turning it on via the power button on the bottom and then simply swiping or tapping the screen.

Another button on the top right hand side of the watch provides quick access to the 5 megapixel camera. The exhibit includes several animated and interactive Disney characters known as sidekicks.

Children can select from a variety of sidekicks, so we have Elsa from "Frozen," Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Iron Man, Darth Vader, and The Child from Mandalorian. The animations are fantastic, with the characters' expressions and movements mirroring those seen in Disney films.

NEO feels a little bulky when compared to fitbit on Garmin's offerings, but it can't be directly compared because it does so much more than count steps. This is more akin to an Apple Watch for Kids.

It crams a 5 megapixel camera at the top of the watch and a built-in Vodafone smart sim card into its case; the camera doesn't take the best snapshots, as the latest iPhone does, but it's a fun little feature for kids to play with.

All of these features come at a cost - as you can see, the NEO is about 1.5 centimeters thick, which means it sticks out quite a bit.

What age is Neo watch for?

The vodafone v-kids watch review may be a little too cumbersome and heavy for Kids under the age of four; it's most likely intended for slightly older children, but Vodafone hasn't specified an age range for the watch.

Is the Vodafone Neo watch waterproof?

Anyway, everything is responsive and nippy, and everything works well, and the vodafone smart tech v-kids watch is water and dust resistant to the IP68 standard, so it should be able to withstand a fair amount of abuse.

I gave Vodafone NEO Kids Watch to my 5-year-old son Sebastian, who was able to use the camera, send me an emoji text, make a phone call, and find everything he wanted within a minute of receiving the device! as a father or mother.

I value the ability to track the location of my child and communicate with him via Vodafone NEO watch phone calls and text messages.

There is no live tracking, as there is with some other children's watches, where you can get your child's location on demand. You can communicate with your children using calls, chat, and fun emojis via Vodafone's smart app instant messaging. Because it lacks a keyboard, the NEO watch is simplified.

Kids can only select from a list of pre-written messages such as on my way "call me please," or "at school," as well as a limited number of emojis. To make a quick call from Neo, press and hold the big blue button for about 5 seconds, which could be extremely useful in an emergency.

The built-in speaker and microphone both produce clear and legible audio for phone calls, though this will vary depending on your signal. Your child won't be able to connect headphones to the watch, so calls will be broadcast out loud, which is fine with me - let me know what you think in the comment field below.

It's simple to add up to 9 contacts using mum or dad's phone in Vodafone's smart app, which means kids can't just call anyone or browse random stuff on the web, which could be dangerous. It appeals to me.

Let me know what you think in the comments section below. The watch's features include the weather, a calendar, a calculator, and a photo album of images taken with the watch.

The NEO watch does not allow Kids to access an open web browser, and there are currently no games available for the NEO smartwatch.

These will hopefully be included in future updates. The battery: Because the NEO Smart Watch Kids is essentially a phone watch, it only lasts about 24 hours on a full charge and drains even faster when used heavily.

Daily battery charging is required. You can save battery life by turning off the sidekick mode, using the basic theme, and lowering the brightness levels.

On average, it takes about two and a half hours to charge the vodafone smart tech v-kids watch from empty to full. The box includes two straps: one traditional and one that allows the watch to be worn at an angle on the wrist for easier viewing.

I'll show you how to replace the straps quickly: first, slide the latch and pull the strap away from the wash while holding it; to put it back or replace it with a new one, simply reverse the steps.

The Vodafone NEO Smart Kids Watch is now available in the UK and Europe, and you can purchase it from the Vodafone website for 99 GBP. The United Kingdom.

I agree that this is a steep price to pay, but keep in mind that it is packed with really cool features and has the Disney brand attached to it.
