Luminox Navy Seals Watch Review

luminox navy seal watch; Today I'll be reviewing a Luminox Kohler Marc watch. I'd like to start with the Trillium loom because it is the distinguishing feature of these watches.

There is nothing new for people who have used tritium. I can confirm that it functions properly and that you can expect up to ten years of non-fading use because tritium has a half-life of 12.3 years, which means it will lose half its power in that time.

Those who have never used tritium loom may be disappointed at first, especially if you are used to divers watches, because tritium works differently and is not nearly as bright as regular loom in the first couple of minutes.

Meaning that if you walk into a dark room after being outside on a sunny day, you will have difficulty telling time until your eyes become accustomed to darkness.

I took my usual Liu shot in the same way I do for every watch I review, and as you can see, it's a lot weaker than anything I've reviewed so far.

However, the initial brightness on regular loom fades quickly, and tritium will be brighter within 5 to 10 minutes, and we'll keep looking brighter and brighter to your eyes as you spend more time in the dark.

Despite the loom shot I just showed you, it is very visible and bright. This is because regular loom absorbs light and then emits it, so when you walk into a dark room from outside, the regular loom is at its peak and very bright, but it fades away as you spend more time away from a light source, whereas tritium is a self-sustaining light source.

It does not need to be charged because it uses sealed vials containing tritium, a radioactive gas that emits electrons, and the insides of the vials are painted with phosphorous.

So when the electrons from tritium hit the phosphorous light is emitted because of this it has a constant brightness even if it's permanently in the dark there's brightness will slowly fade away over the years like I mentioned in the beginning until it dies out completely in about 20 to 30 years.

So it does have an expiration date after which you should replace the vowels completely it is a very interesting and cool way of doing watch lune but for my personal daily activities where I often have two situations where I go from a very bright outside to almost pitch dark inside regular loom is better and more practical.

The other prominent feature of this watch is its marketing and being referred to as the official navy seals and SAS watch. That part to me is complete BS, and I don't buy it for a second, just like I don't buy the BS of Navy SEALS actually wearing GLC watches and missions.

If you Google photos of Navy SEALs that aren't part of these brands' marketing campaigns, you'll notice that they mostly wear Pro tracks and G shocks. Even better, try Google photos DW 6600 and army and see what comes up.

So, Luminox Navy Seals carbinox Watch have a tactical look to them, but they're not used for tactical missions as far as I know. However, in today's world, every brand tries to connect with something people might find cool, so I'm not really mad at Luminox for doing this, especially since.

I know it's not the reason I'd buy one, but the case is made of what Luminox calls BC carbon or carbon reinforced polycarbonate, which gives it a plastic look and feel.

"Also read: Rolex Oyster Perpetual Stainless Steel Blue Dial Review"

Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with plastic, especially one as advanced as this, because it makes the watch very light, and the best part is that even if you scratch it, the scratches will be unnoticeable, unlike a PVD coated stainless steel.

Steel watch that reveals the bare metal underneath some people may find the lack of weight strange and mistake it for a lack of quality but you shouldn't what does disappoint me a little is that it truly looks and feels like regular plastic

I wish they made it look a little more expensive. For example, a friend of mine purchased a Valentino Rossi watch from his fan store, and even though it's just a regular Seiko powered quartz chronograph, it looks a lot more expensive.

The case is made of carbon, and when you hold it in your hands, even though it is as light as the Luminox, it does not look or feel like plastic at all; instead, it looks cool and gives you the impression that it is something special.

So I wish Luminox would do something similar with their cases to get away from the look and feel of regular plastic. The case back, like Casio watches, is held together by four small screws and features engraved water resistance and crystal information, as well as a large navy seals symbol in the center.

When it comes to the case size, it is 44 millimeters in diameter but wears more like a 4241 due to the thick bezel and relatively short look too long ago 47.5 it is 13.8 millimeters thick but sits well on the wrist and is very comfortable to wear due to only 56 grams of weight.

It comes with a silicone rubber strap that is very soft and adds to the comfort. The overall design of the strap, as well as the Luminox logo embossed on it, appeal to me. The buckle is massive and gives you the impression of being indestructible, whereas the bezel does not.

It just feels and sounds so strange to turn it that every time I use it, I feel like I'm breaking something inside. I can use the plastic click mechanism, which is a 60-click bezel with a luminous pip at 12 o'clock.

The pip is another tritium cube that is covered by this small piece of crystal some people have complained about this crystal falling out making the tritium while exposed but apparently there was on early production models that also had a problem with tritium vials on the dial falling out.

Is the Luminox Navy Seals Watch Waterproof?

The watch has a water resistance of 200 meters, a mineral crystal, and a tactical design underneath. I'll make these both look great and complement the look of the watch.

The dial markers and hands are bright, legible, and fun to look at, making the dial my favorite part of the watch. I especially like how the tritium vials give the hands a 3D appearance.

The Luminox logo is quite large at 12 o'clock, the date is at 3 o'clock and done in white, which means that I would prefer a no date version to give a more symmetrical look at 6 o'clock.

The Swiss quartz comes first, followed by the water-resistant inscription and, finally, a Swiss-made inscription that is a little too Swiss. If you ask me, it's as if it's saying, "Look at me, I'm Swiss, I promise I'm not sure it is," and he's trying to convince both you and it that it is something else.

What I don't like is how they state at least 20 Armed Forces, coast guards, and other cool macho organizations at the beginning of their manuals, as if the manual was issued to these organizations at their request, but there isn't a single information on what exact movement they are talking about.

They're using you get the impression that they're trying to hide something while throwing as much PS information in your face as possible. I really don't like that, even though I want to like the watch. To summarize, despite my love for the design of this watch and the cool factor of the tritium loom, I would not purchase one.

It's not so much the lack of a sense of quality, though that is another reason I don't want one, especially with the bezel action, but the BS marketing and lack of proper technical information that keeps me away from this.

It is advertised as a tough Swiss made quartz watch, but it just doesn't give me that feeling. If I were looking for a tough Swiss made for swatch, I would go for the Enochs, which I recently reviewed.

Now, the Luminox Navy Seals Watch gives you a feeling of toughness in the same way that the Enochs made me change the way I wear watches.

I've gone from thinking it's all marketing nonsense to actually liking it and believing it can withstand whatever you throw at it. I went from liking this watch to being disappointed by it.
